ASUS P2B users HELP. NO post on bootup only one long beep followed by three short beeps. AWARD BIOS.

Hi there

As topic says.

I tryied to put a PIII 600 Mhz/100 Mhz on the P2B. I used a slot1 converter to socket 370.

After the prober 1.65 V and 100 Mhz was set on the converter the power was connected. Nothing happened.

I ajusted a bit on the converter card without the power cable offcourse, and booted upagain. NOTHING. I then whent back to the PII 300Mhz slot1 and tryied that out, then the beeps came on but no post. Only one long beep followed by three short beeps.

Then whent back to the PIII again the the same beep error.

Now I cannot even get back to my old PII :-(

What does these beep error mean. I would think something about fuc..d up CPU :-(

The BIOS version is the BIOS version 1012.007 beta as ordered on ASUS homepage for the P2B to work with a PIII 600Mhz.

PLEASE HELP ME OUT HERE GUYS.

The beeps mean a video error. Try reseating your video card and unplug and replug the video card cable.
