Hey guys

I am going to be farting around with this combo of a celeron 466 in a slocket and an Asus P2B-F.
The settings for this chip are 7.0 clock multiplier, at 66mhz. Now if i bump that FSB upto
100mhz what can I expect in performance gains? I've never played with celerons before so i really dont know their capabilities or
characteristics...Can anyone help me out?

Thanks.

With a Celly 466 at 100 MHz FSB you should expect.... NADA. I'd be surprised if it POSTed, even at 2.4 V. 525 MHz (75 FSB) is all you should reasonably expect.

Yeah, almost no way you can get it to 100 mhz fsb. My 466 is at 546 with a generic fan right now with no problems, and it ran at 581 with almost no problems. 525 should be a lock and probably 546.

Thanks guys for the info, as I dont want to fry this puppy before I get it settled in. Goog what are your settings for this chip to reach what you have it at? Here is what I am going to use in the system to get it up and running:

Celeron 466 mhz PPGA in Slocket
Asus P2B-F
Crucialtech 64mb PC-100 SDRAM
Voodoo3 2000 or 3000 PCI
SoundBlaster AWE 64 value.
6.4GB Maxtor

Anyone see any problems with this?
Thanks for any help.
