Has anyone seen a list of beep codes for this board? I look on the Asus site and nothing is listed and nothing through google either. Also I have a usb hub that attaches a printer, smart card reader and a joystick. I upgraded it to a 1Ghz flip chip via a slocket and a bios update and now if I have the usb hub plugged in it will no even turn on. If I take it out it boots fine. Any ideas?

Thanks is advance.

THe hub's light is on showing external power, bios is the latest from ASUS. One thing I did notice though is that the light that shows the bus has power is not on or is very faint.

Thanks for the suggestions though.

The latest BIOS for your P2B-F is Version 1014 Beta 01A.

You may have a very early revision of the P2B-F, which had problems powering the onboard USB ports.

It's not immediately easy to tell whether or not you have one of these problem boards. Check the PCB revision. If you have PCB rev 1.00. (note the period at the end), the board version you have has resolved this issue. If your board version does NOT have the period on the end of the version, it is possible that you MAY have one of these "dud" boards (not all of the 1.00 rev boards were affected).

The issue was resolved by soldering a resistor onto the board. Problem is that I can no longer find my documentation about the fix....:( You are supposed to be able to return the board to ASUS for a fix though.

I have consulted with ASUS Engineers, and there are a number of possible workarounds for your situation.

Try to increase the VIO voltage as the first step. If this does not work, then PM me and I will give you the more complex solution to the issue, regarding the resistor rework..
