Anyone out there with a similar setup? Trying to upgrade the ram on this mobo, and it won't recognize the second 512 stick of ram. I checked the ASUS website, and the mobo supposed to support 1 Gig of ram. There were 4 - 128 meg sticks in it before.

Guess I will read their specs more closely or try 4 - 256s.

Any help/advice is much appreciated.

I know this is an old thread in computer age, but my husband brought this motherboard back for me to play with, after he took it out of a large chassis and put it in a smaller Dell case, so much of the layout is fresh in my mind, and I'm sure Thor86 has moved on to newer stuff, but what the heck...

The P2B-D won't take single 512 ram modules. There are four slots, numbered zero through three. The maximum each slot can take is 256mb of PC100 RAM. To get the full 1GB, install four 256ers.
