ASUS P2B-AE

Hi,

I just got my friend's computer, a Sony VAIO, in hand. When I opened the case, I realized the motherboard is an ASUS P2B-AE. However, when I checked at ASUS homepage, I can't find any information on this specific board. My question is, if I want to change the dip switches or BIOS, can I just get the information I need from other P2B boards? Thanks.

The P2B-AE is an OEM specific board. ASUS does not provide support for OEM boards.

ASUS does not provide BIOSes for OEM boards either. You can probably guess the information for dipswitches/jumpers from other boards, but ASUS boards usually have the configuration information silk-screened onto the board itself.

I searched in Google for "P2B-AE" and it showed a bunch of Japanese site talking about this board and P3B-1394. The layouts between them are pretty close. That makes me wonder if they are actually the same. Wish I have a P3B-1394 that I can take a look at.

I really want to know if the P2B-AE supports CuMine chips. Anyway, thanks Andy.
