Asus O!Play Audio to Logitech Cinema Z Speakers

I'm trying to set up an O!Play Air. I can get things to work fine with an HDMI cable to the TV, but the TV's speakers are substandard.

I've taken the USB cable from the speakers and plugged it into the O!Play, but I couldn't get any sound out. I also plugged the USB into a port on the TV but, again, no dice.

One solution might be to run RCA plugs to the TV, but I think that will only support standard def. Maybe a composite video plug from the O!Play to the TV, RCA audio to the TV, and RCA-to-3.5mm (is there such a thing?) from the TV to the aux input on the speakers. Sounds klugie... HDMI to the TV and RCA-to-3.5mm from the TV to the speaker aux?

Anybody got a way to do this?

I ended up running the HDMI to the TV and a twin RCA plug to a 3.5 mm headphone jack to the AUX input of the speaker set. No use of the USB at all. Only shortfall is that the audio from signals originating with the TV play through the internal speakers, but at least my music and videos from the O!Play come out through the speakers.
