Your resolution? remember GT 640 is a pretty low end model. Why not grab a 650/7750 instead?

I agree with Jaydip,i had a gtx650 not to long ago and it was a awesome starter card,it handled Dirt showdown at 1200p pretty well, one can assume you game at a much lower resolution then i do.

The 7750 may be a better choice, the Amd title Dirt 3 would perform better on it over the gtx650 and if i recall the 7750 is cheaper.

So I came across this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Asus-NVID...ard-901MHz-PCI-Express-3-0-HDMI-/330989003699

I currently Have a Asus Radeon HD 5450 1gb

I was wonder if The 640 is good for playing games like Dirt3, Just Cause 2.
I have 4gb of ram And am not sure of my power supply

Please Help

That depends on what your expectations are. At best the 640 can do a few games at 720p or lower - You will not play high end games at 1080p with a GT640, though.

So, what resolution are you running?

I think you can buy a 650 Ti for the same money... and it's so much faster...

2GB of slow memory for a GT 640 is a trap.

as usual no one has asked what the rest of the specs are. OP list your specs in detail including exact psu and the resolution you want to play at. if you cant find them or are too lazy to look then you should not be working on your pc in the first place.

Is that really how you want to welcome new members on this board? :colbert:

I was saying that because he obviously knew that his psu would need to be known but only said he was not sure what it was. he needs to be sure of that along with listing his other specs. and yes if he is not capable of doing those things then how would he install a video card?

Maybe he didn't want to spend time/effort on that before getting comments on whether the 640 is a good card to begin with.

Assuming that he is not capable is pretty condescending.

not capable of doing something does not mean he is mentally challenged so stop putting words in mouth.

then why are you telling me what I said was condescending? threads like this can go on for days without even knowing what the pc looks like. so again he needs to list all of his other specs in detail. if he is not willing to do so then also again he should not be trying to add a video card. is that really so hard to understand?

and as you can see the OP is flat out ignoring anything and just starting more threads.

I agree, he needs to list specs. Never said anything about that part. Never commented on whether he's willing to do anything either. You seem to be having difficulty understanding what I'm saying, not the other way around my friend.

Maybe you scared him off? ;)
