Asus notebook assistance....

So I've decided to get an Asus notebook after being computer-less for the past 3 weeks. I'm not quite sure which model to get though, because they all look pretty good. The z71v and the v6v/a are 2 that i have been looking at. i need a laptop thats fairly mobile, but can withstand programs like AutoCad, Matlab, and maybe some gaming (WoW). any recommendations would be helpful. below are some specs id prefer having.

14-15 inch screen, widescreen dont matter but NO XGA.....man i hate low resolutions
pentium m (maybe core duo if they have it)
512mb-1gig ram (i already have a 1gig stick with me)
powerful enough video card, no integrated b.s.
 
How about hte W3J - It has a Core Duo, 1gig of ram, an X1600 mobility, 5.5lbs, 3-4 hours battery life, 14" Widescreen. The only disadvantage is that the widescreen on this one is ony 1280x768 (WXGA).
 
yea see that XGA crap kills me. i had a previous laptop before and it was XGA....i thought i would be able to live on it but its too damn annoying. *sigh*. hahahahah.

so yea. that one is not bad but the screen gives it no chance. ive been looking at the V6V/a model. it's pretty nice. but expensive.

That is the disadvantage of 14" Wide screen panels. They only can be made in WXGA flavors.

The Z96J should be around the time the W3J is and will be similar except with 15.4. And thw A8JM will be the same as the W3J except with the 7600 in place of the X1600.

But you're looking at another month or so before being able to pick any of these up. 🙁

Thanks for the implicit recommendatino of c9tech. I just checked them out and it seems their price for Z70VA is pretty good compared to the other retailers (esp considering 2day shipping)
