Windows Vista RTM seems to be able to install all the drivers most of the drivers for this motherboard, with two exceptions. Vista only has Realtek drivers so SoundStorm is bypased. And I can't seem to get SATA drivers for the Silicon Image Chip working. I believe these should be the correct drivers, but Vista says not. Suggestions? I just decided to install it on an old ATA drive to see how well everything works, and its working great, with this small exception. (nVidia's site also doesnt have proper drivers).

Thanks for the help!

Sorry, I read nforce 2 and stopped there. And the article is not saying Vista doesn't support the nforce 2, it's saying that nvidia will be dropping nf2 support from forceware/platform updates (which I find extremely hard to believe since they still to this day support the TNT).

they have already separated drivers per platform, there are no unified driver for nForce. Vista support sucks for even nForce3.

What I did this a long time ago with the non-E version of the A7N8X Deluxe was update the BIOS with the full version of the Silicon Image RAID controller as you only get the "Lite" version. That way, you can use the drivers posted by Silicon Image.
