Been working on a PC today, just a routine format. I format, reinstall Win2K Pro. Install winzip and immediatly install the latest Asus Nforce drivers. Everything looks good until i go on the network. The network card is completely non-functional.

It appears that the driver installed properly, device manager reveals no problems, and the network connection icon is in the taskbar. But it wont pick up a DHCP address or properly communicate with the router. Tried the obvious stuff like reinstalling the Nforce drivers, changing the network cable, disabling and enabling the network card, removing it from the device manager and restarting etc.

Long story short, does anyone know if there is a problem with the new Asus Nforce Drivers for the A7N266-VM? (non-AA)

after checking the AA version of the boards downloads, it appears to have the exact same driver (version and file size) as the non-AA driver. So that doesnt appear to be an issue either.

try with reference drivers. I have three of these boards and they are all top class. I only use the Nvidia WHQL drivers though.

Onboard Sound Disabled, using a creative SBL! 5.1
Western Digital 800JB 80GB 7200RPM 8MB

going into damage control mode and pulling all cards and drives that arent vital to running windows. Gonna try rolling back to older drivers too. Be back with results.
