Asus Motherboard Help!

I have an Asus Cuv4x mb with a p3 600, my problem is that after I flashed my bios to rev 1006. The mb now recognises my p3 600 as a 300 and now won't boot unless I adjust the bios to reflect this. Please help, this is driving me nuts. Any advice/work around would be greatly appreciated!
