I just like to know the following questions on the P4P800 Deluxe 865PE ASUS Motherboard...

Firstly is it a good board compared to others?

What is the vocal startup about?

What is the onboard sound like?

Has this got the "Pat" feature that boosts proformance for 3 - 5% and is it worth it and what does it do and how does it work?

How well does it do overclocking?

Is the 1gb lan work with a 10/100mb lan (I have another computer with 10/100mb lan and need to know if it will work without no conflicts)

Thanks heaps

What is the vocal startup about? Stupid, I dissabled it

What is the onboard sound like? Need a sound card

Has this got the "Pat" feature that boosts proformance for 3 - 5% and is it worth it and what does it do and how does it work? A little boost, but not much

How well does it do overclocking? Awesome

Is the 1gb lan work with a 10/100mb lan (I have another computer with 10/100mb lan and need to know if it will work without no conflicts) No problem

pretty good

What is the vocal startup about?
no idea, sorry. takes voice commands maybe?

What is the onboard sound like?
as good as a cheap soundblaster card

Has this got the "Pat" feature that boosts proformance for 3 - 5% and is it worth it and what does it do and how does it work?
PAT was reserved for 875 chipset but asus got it working on the 865PE as well. so it boosts 5% when FSB and RAM is running syncronously (1:1) @ 200FSB. big deal, overclocking yields better performance gains.

How well does it do overclocking?
pretty well. some claim it overclocks no worse than it's 875 cousin the P4C800.

Is the 1gb lan work with a 10/100mb lan (I have another computer with 10/100mb lan and need to know if it will work without no conflicts)
yes, it reverts to whatever speed the slowest computer connection is running at.
