asus mother board button for mode select

hey i'm trying to boot my system into safe mode to do a defrag, but when my system loads up it goes too quickly and i can't see what button in need to press in order to get to safe mode... i've tried pressing some esc's, del's and such but the window of opportunity is so short that i need to know which exact one it is... anyone have experience? thanks in advance (p4s333)

Just start pressing F8 as soon as you turn on the system. Press repeatedly, like once a second during the boot process.
