I have the Asus M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 mobo, bought March 4th, 2011. Installed the AMD Athlon II X3 455 Rana AM3 processor in it. Other details of my rig are below. I've got 2 issues:
1) Computer doesn't wake from sleep. I've got my BIOS set at basically the default settings, but am open to making any changes. The strange thing is that it used to Sleep and Wake without any trouble. However, about 3 months ago it stopped waking from sleep. I figured the OS needed to be re-installed (I went from one motherboard to another (an Intel one to this AMD one at that!)) and never re-installed the OS, but things worked just fine for the first 4-5 months. Then, it quit waking from Sleep correctly, and I formatted and installed Win7 again.
2) I have a Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000 USB webcam, and when I have the camera plugged into the computer (any USB port) when I cold boot up, it literally takes 92 seconds to get through a "VIA VT6415/VT6330 PCIE2IDE OPROM V1.31 VIA Technologies" screen stating "Scan Devices, Please wait..." Once "None Found" comes up, it stays at that for another 18 seconds or so, before the OS finally boots. However, when I reboot, it slides right through the "Scan Devices" screen quickly and reboots (almost all the time, but sometimes it doesn't!). Remove the Logitech camera, and I can be at the Windows login screen in 20 seconds as it quickly goes through the "Scan Devices" screen and moves on. I tried a new camera, the Logitech C910, but get the same problem when booting.
Is it my MoBo? Is it bad? Can anyone direct me to settings for my mobo? I'm not trying to overclock or anything, so I figured that the defaults should be a fine place to start...the only change I made was on the fan speed section, but that shouldn't cause any of the above problems.
I'll take any suggestions, including other motherboards known to not do the above. If possible, Asus ones would be nice so I don't have to reinstall Windows. Thanks in advance!
