Asus Mobo and video problem

I have an Asus A7V133 mobo and a Futura brand monitor and since upgrading to the Asus I have to reset the computer from a cold boot to get the video to display. Am I missing some setting on the board? And it doesnt matter if I turn the monitor on first or the system on first. I never had this problem with my old mobo

The video card is a Matrox marvel 2000tv-agp w/voodoo2 card piggy back. It didnt matter if I had connection directly into the marvel or the voodoo2.

Any thoughts or suggestion
