I was thinking of buying one of these motherboards because it only cost $73 and includes lan, sound and a 64meg geforce2 mx .
But will it fit OK in a regular ATX case ????
is micro ATX backwards compatible with ATX???
also the problems listed in the motherboard forums are a concern.
can someone please post a link to some reviews for this asus motherboard & your coments on this board, + possible comparable options at this price range (with Lan, audio and geforce onboard for $73)
thanks for any info!!

It fits standard ATX cases fine.

I have 19 of them at work, they seem to be good boards. Got a 20th in the works :) Make sure to use a name-brand power supply of at least 300W, preferably with at least 200W on the 3.3V + 5V rails (this is advice for Athlon systems in general, not this board in particular). I would recommend Antec SL300 or SL350, Enermax 351 or Sparkle Power 300 or 350W. Hope that helps.

where did you get 64 meg of video? isn't it 32 shared? even with two sticks of ram.

anyway, I got me a refurb from newegg to play with, gonna do the jumper mod to enable fsb selection. it's gonna be fun building a new case for it. oh yea, and I only had a pos 250watt PS to test this baby, and it worked just fine. 1600xp.

thanks for answering my questions, & I guess it may not be 64meg (I'll ck newegg again tommorrow ) sleepy time here zzzzzzzzzzzz
thanks again

next day:
the person I was helping upgrade his computer doesn't want an intergrated MB , so he got an all in wonder 7500 video card for starters and is upgrading his CPU also .. till he can afford a killer system down the road,
I may try the A7N266-VM myself inmy next system...!
:)
