Asus Maximus V Antenna Connector.

Hi,

i bought an Asus Maximus V Formula and i got a little problem; i broke the "antenna connector", part who connects the wifi card to I/O shield.

Do you have any tips to buy it or find it ?

It's difficult to tell exactly what the connector is from the diagram at your link. There are a couple of different connectors that look like that and differ only in their OD (outside diameter).

It looks like a rear mounted panel mount BNC connector, but I believe the antenna connectors I've seen for wifi have a smaller diameter.

Your best bet it to go to a shop that sells electronic components with the connector and find one with the same size and thread. If you can't find a shop close to you, measure the connector, and look through catalogs from online vendors like DigiKey and Mouser Electronics. You may even find them at a local Radio Shack store, or they may be able to help you further identify the correct part.

On english manual of motherboard, it's seems thats cables and antennas can be purchased separately. I just find wifi antennas on eBay but 0 result for connector...

This should help. The designation of the part shown in the pic at your link is:

RG58 N-type female rear mount panel connector.

If you buy just the connector, you'll need to solder a coax cable to it to go to the motherboard or whatever it's connected to in your system. You may also be able to find it pre-wired on the connector end.

As T_Yamamoto suggests, you may be able to buy a complete assembly from Asus' tech support. It couldn't hurt to contact them.
