ASUS Maximus Formula

Am running 2 Raptors in RAID0 with Vista on my Maximus Formula SE, and also have a single 500gb drive with Vista installed as well in case my RAID takes a dump.

In BIOS I set SATA Configuration to RAID, everything runs great........can boot into Windows on the Raptors and the single drive no problems at all. But then I disconnect the Raptors and go into BIOS and turn off RAID in SATA Configuration. Reboot..........but it won't recognize my single drive.

I cannot get the drive to be recognized without a RAID setup. As soon as I plug the Raptors back in and set BIOS SATA Configuration back to RAID, everything is fine and I can boot into Windows on the both RAID and single drive no problem. But when I unplug the Raptors, and try a single drive, it won't recognize the drive nor boot.

I've tried setting the SATA Configuration to IDE (Enhanced), IDE (Compatible), even AHCI........none work for a single drive.

Am I missing something? Do I have to "uninstall" the RAID utility or something?? I'm probably something simple that I don't realize.

I'd greatly appreciate any help, thanks in advance!

Ah ah heck, completely missed the RAID Utility manager.........just gotta delete the RAID in there and then format the drives as singles.

Nvm, nothing to see here, move along.
