Like one of the comments says, they need to make an ATI 4850 version.

nv 9600 just isn't worth the fanciness.

Thus the question mark in the title. How about a custom 4870 X2...

Sounds good. My Gigabyte 8800GT has an app that lets me choose 3 other voltage settings (default, one small step down, and two small steps up). I'd really love for future enthusiast video cards to keep evolving into having options similar to the motherboards we've become so used to. I'd also love to be able to buy such cards that come with no HS/Fan...I've gotten to the point where I pretty much plan to replace the HS/fan by default, as the retail ones are almost always designed to be advertising billboards first and cooling devices second, and even if there are some cards with decent HS/fans that were originally designed for aftermarket, there's almost always something better/quieter that I have in mind anyways :p

Meh it's been done before, nothing too special except adjustable voltages which Gigabyte did on the 8800GT a while back. This would be of much more use if Asus put this kind of custom design on their high end cards. Now a custom 4870/X2- THAT would be awesome.
