Hey,

I built the new gaming system in my sig about 2 weeks ago. I just ordered a 2nd 470 too.

Anyways I've been having problems with my motherboard since day 1.

Out of the box it Windows 7 on fresh install would not detect my gigabit LAN to even allow me to install drivers. It doesn't show up in device manager, I won't allow me to add a device, etc.

So 3 days ago I flashed it to the newest bios and voilà the Ethernet is picked up and installed. It worked 100% till today. I wake up to turn pc on and no Ethernet again. Windows cannot find, cannot detect, etc.

I reinstalled win 7 x64 and nothing.

Ive never had an issue like this before. Should I rma this board while it's still under replacement with seller? (30 days)

I tried everything I can think of with no luck including resetting and reflashing bios.

I bought thus board because it uses the nvidia 980a SLI chipset and I already had the 470 and I wanted to add a 2nd one.

Any help?

Did you check the bios to insure that the nic is enabled? I'd also check the cable just to rule it out as a possible cause.

You might try pulling the power and resetting the bios to clear things out. I know its a pita however sometimes it can clear problems that won't otherwise go away.

RMA the board. This kind of problem should not happen with new boards. Only if you are sure you flashed the BIOS correctly and that ethernet is not disabled in BIOS.
