Does anyone have experience running RAID5 native on the ASUS M4A78T-E motherboard?
I am wanting to put 4 drives in a R5 array and then use the 5th SATA port for a BD drive. Is this even possible? Would the on-board controller be sufficient? I would think that with 4 cores, processing for RAID 5 wouldn't be a big deal.

For a few extra bucks, I could just get two 1.5 TB drives in RAID-1. Would this be the better choice?

I wouldn't recommend it; on-board RAID 5 runs off host CPU and when your systems locks up or blue screens, guess what happens to your data?
