Hello and thanks in advance for your thoughts and advice.

System is relatively new - I built it in Jan this year. Just recently the system when the system is shut down it will not start back up. The motherboard power indicator is lit up. When you push the case button the system powers up for 1 second and then shuts down. The only way I can get it to start at this point is to shut the master switch off in the back and then while holding the power switch on I need to flip the master switch to on maybe 3-4 cycles then the system comes alive.

Thinking I had perhaps a faulty case switch I unplugged the wire at the motherboard and jumpered the pins manually with the same effect. Perhaps another clue is since day 1 the system will just shut down and the only way I can start it up is to clear CMOS.

System specs: 8 gb Kingston ram, 7600gt Gforce cards in SLI config, dual core AMD 2.3 ghz, 500 gb samsung hard drive.

I did update the bios to the newest perhaps 2 weeks ago and do not see any newer ones out there.

Any ideas appreciated.

Thank you
