i have an HP a6000n. it comes with an asus M2N68-LA narra

i want to be sure if i can upgrade to an amd 64x2 6400?

While upgrading a similar model (if not the same) I was told by HP phone support the max was
2.6GHz - don't know if they updated the bios or not (highly unlikely)
