Sorry for the cross post, but this is probably better place for this...

I just received my new ASUS M2N-VM DVI board on Saturday, after pairing it up with a new 4800+ and 2G of Gskill 6400 (55512) I can not seem to get Vista to install on it. I was thinking that the Mobo came bad, but it will install and run XP without issue.

What happens:
During the vista install, I get looooooong hang periods, the process from boot to where you click "install" is almost 15 minutes, and from the serial number to hard drive selections is almost an hour. (with sometimes a 0x9b bsod between this section) about 90% of this time the HD led is on solid, this makes me think that the chipset/sata drivers are whacked out.

Config:
SeaSonic S12 II SS-380
ASUS M2N-VM DVI
x2 4800+
Gskill 2G 6400
WD 250 G HD Sata
NEC 18X DVD AWG170S-B2 sata

Testing:
Swapped out both Sata HD & DVD for IDE components - No Change
Swapped out the memory xms2 2G - No Change
Swapped out x2 3800+ - No Change
Flashed the bios to 0201 - No Change
Different Vista media - No Change

I did end up installing XP, updating all of the drivers, and an then upgrading to Vista. This process works, Kinda. The install process finishes (probably took all night, I went to bed) but I had the same type of "hang" this morning while I tried to get vista drivers on the box from the CD. From there I had to go to work, I almost packed up the box to bring with me to work so I could fiddle with it here.....

Thoughts, Suggestions greatly appreciated...
