This is the first board I've seen with no boot\POST screen. I disabled the full screen logo as I always do but was surprised it didn't display a single thing until the XP splash screen started. Is this normal? My Dell LCD shows a green LED indicating the card is working so I doubt it is the graphics system.

It came loaded with the 0802 BIOS which, IIRC is the most recent one.

Anyone else have this board and get the same black screen on boot? It works perfect otherwise.

 
I have this on my LG LCD, however, on my old monitor I saw the screen as normal.
I think it is a monitor/ATI thing or maybe the newer bios.
Sorry for not giving you a decent answer, but I don't think it's anything to worry about. I think you press the pause key and it should then show the screen at startup if you want.
 
Thanks. I'll try the pause and see if it works. It worked with my other ASUS which was a 939 board so I was expecting to see it on this one. With the full screen logo enabled it will show the yellow ASUS logo, but absolutely nothing with it disabled until the Windows splash screen starts.
