Asus M2N-E Motherboard Multiplier problem

hi, ive been reading the official sticky for this motherboard and i have an issue, im trying to overclock with the 9x multiplier but in cpuz it keeps telling me its at 10, but in the bios its saying its at 9, thus in cpuz im not getting the oc i shuld be getting. also everytime i oc when i save and exit the pc wont boot and i have to restart manually to get into windows xp. i believe this is an issue with the bios, i already updated it though im using the 0304 bios anyways my system looks like this.

Asus M2n-E mobo
amd am2 x2 3800+
1gb buffalo ddr2 533mhz ram
250 gb sata western digital hdd

this is what ive done in the bios

300 Fbs trying to use x9 multiplier (wont work) cpu voltage = 1.55
5-5-5-15 1.95v memory timings.
htt at 3
peg disabled

can anyone help me?

I had nothing but problems with the M2N-E board I used a couple months ago & one of the issues I ran into (before RMA'ing the board) was an inability to run stable above a 240 fsb setting, so you might have to try putting the multiplier back to 10, HTT at 4 & just live with whatever that works out to for your overclock.
If that doesnt work you could always RMA the board to Asus on the premise that it might be defective... I returned mine to Newegg & went with an MSI instead for the friend I was building the system, mine wouldn't even run stable for extended periods at default speeds with a 4000+.
