Busy day for Asus! I'm pretty psyched about ASMobile. It is supposed to be like their ASRock line of motherboards, although not so much value oriented. I think its hot they're going to offer a 13.3" barebones notebook; gimme an ATI MR X1600 in that puppy and we might have a deal

rofl. I'm on a dell laptop. Isn't it so great how they can drop the price of my laptop from 2100 to 1300 like *that? Dang...i wanted an asus, but a little past my budget

IIRC, Asus is now owned by Gigabyte.

Hopefully, the name's the only thing that's crappy.

So it's not as big of news as the recent AMD and ATI merger, but cross-town Taipei rivals Asustek and Gigabyte have just announced a major joint venture between the two companies. The new joint venture will effectively let Gigabyte use Asustek facilities for manufacturing of "Gigabyte" branded video cards and motherboards.
