Asus launches 4 new 1680x1050 displays

The 19" display at 1680 x 1050 resolution should please a lot of the people who like small pixels. I wouldn't go near it, 20" at that resolution was too small for me.

I was happy (and dismayed, since I had just broken down and bought a 20" WS) when the 22" widescreens came out. The text is about the right size for me at that resolution/size whereas I also thought 20" was to small.

Meh, D-Sub input on all but one of the 22" means it won't even support hdcp.

The article references a Viewsonic 19" 1680x1050 panel; does anyone know which one it is?

Nvm, found it, it's called the VX1940w. Response time makes it sound like a TN tho

I agree. The lack of DVI on those 3 are going to kill their sales.

DVI is now a generally accepted standard for LCD quality over D-Sub.

How did you reach that conclusion?
It doesn't make sense to me.

It does if you live in 2007. Who is cheap to not put today's cheap DVI ports, is even cheaper to put non-Tn panel that really brings price up.
