For a runabout laptop, that's not super-cheap, but if you consider that you can probably do some gaming on this thing, then it seems like a bargain, compared to a "proper" gaming laptop, with a dGPU included.

Edit: If you get this, you'll want to make sure that both RAM channels are populated, to get maximum performance out of the iGPU.

Not a bad deal, but personally i'd rather spend $50 more to get this model:

Acer Laptop Aspire E 15 E5-574G-54Y2 Intel Core i5 6200U (2.30 GHz) 8 GB Memory 1 TB HDD NVIDIA GeForce 940M 15.6" Windows 10 Home

Intel Core i5 6200U (2.30 GHz)
8 GB Memory 1 TB HDD
NVIDIA GeForce 940M 2GB
1920 x 1080
Windows 10 Home

It has a much faster CPU, decent dedicated 2GB video card, and a full 1080P screen. :)

This was $399.99 on Amazon for the past few days, but went back up sometime today. I debated whether to buy it or not, not knowing how good a deal it was. Maybe if the screen were higher res.
Also this says "The battery seems to be built into the system, so hard to replace" and it's only a 2 cell.
Also "Memory is 8GB, the configuration is 4GB onboard and 4GB on stick".

So if it does drop back down to $400, get it or no?

Looks like a machine to plop on a desk and never carry around. Decent machine, but not amazing. I guess that's what you expect at this price point.

This is $400 now at Newegg and Amazon. May be the regular price now.

Is there a deal better than this?
