I bought it roughly 2 years ago. Not to long ago, my laptop has been having trouble starting up. It used to boot up superfast and it still does 85% of the time. Yet sometimes it takes a long time to boot up where I might have to hold the power button down to restart it. Also for the firs time, while I was watching HULU it cut off and a screen popped up saying it needed to restart after a system diagnostics. Any thoughts on what might be causing this. I run virus software and spyware consistently, I run disk defrags and disk clean up often to. Also I am care not to go to strange websites. Mostly I do school work, facebook, programming, gaming and Netflix and HULU on my laptop. That is mostly it.

Might be overheating? Two years for hairs and dust bunnies to build up in the cooling vents? On the occasions that it boots up OK, try downloading a temp monitoring program, like HWMonitor (cpuid.com).

Like Larry said, it probably needs a good cleaning. That system runs hot and you need to make sure all the fans are cleaned out properly.
