I've had this lappie for several years. It has done this before - though I've no idea how I fixed it.

The touchpad freezes after about 30 seconds of use after login. Rebooting has no effect.

I have not installed anything or made any other changes recently.

Device Manager says Touchpad is working properly. (I ahve never seen any device ever say anything different.)

Do I uninstall the Touchpad and reinstall it?

I would uninstall the touchpad software completely and then reboot the laptop. GO to Asus's support website and download and reinstall the latest touchpad software. If that doesn't fix it, you may need to replace the touchpad.

Thanks. I did a driver update and it told me this was the latest version. So I uninstalled it and told it to delete the software, then rebooted. It came up with touchpad working (is it possible it reinstalled without asking me or telling me?)

It's working so far. We'll see how long it lasts.

I've had touchpad problems before. On my Acer V5-131, sometimes it stops working or get erratic, and then I have to close the lid to "sleep" the laptop, then re-open it, and it gets re-initialized upon wake-up, thus fixing it.

I also have had occasional issues with my Lenovo B50-45 laptop, with an AMD A6-6310 APU. Sometimes, the trackpad just kind of "goes dead", while manipulating it, and I have to leave it, or paw at it, or move in the other direction, to get it to move again.

Those problems have largely gone away. Whether that was due to updates, I don't know. I do know that I installed updated AMD driver packages, that included system drivers too. Still on Win7 64-bit on that laptop though.
