Asus Laptop Doesn't Have Win7 Restore Disk...WTF?

So I recently bought an ASUS K73SV and it does not ship with a Win7 Restore Disk. When I first started using it Windows told me to create an ISO file, basically creating a restore disk, right? I would like to purchase an SSD and reinstall a fresh copy of Win7 and not have all the bloatware Asus installed. How can I do this?

Check your ASUS HDD for a Restore Partition - that is your "Restore Disk." That is common practice these days for all brands.

It's in the manual how to access it and also how to create a recovery disc from it. You get one shot at the latter.

Here's How I did it, Downloaded a Windows 7(PRO, Home) DVD, then installed onto SSD activate with Windows COA might have to call but will work I just did this on an ASUS Laptop.
The windows Dvd must match the windows that was installed on the laptop before.

Amongst all the pre installed software that comes on most new machines, there should be a utility to allow you to make a recovery DVD

Per gmaster456's suggestion; watch this ASUS Feature Video: AI Recovery Burner , on how to create the disks. Make the restore disks with AI so if you ever wanted to sell you'd be able to restore to factory orginal.

Then wipe the drive, install your SSD, and get Amazon's ninety buck deal on Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64bit (Full) System Builder DVD 1 Pack with free shipping. (You could also try chessdeviant's suggestion; download a legal retail copy from the digitalriver website, then see if MS phone activation works).

The System Builder version has the same features as a full retail version for a lot less money, but the license is OEM; meaning you can't legally transfer it to different mobo/hardware later on.
