ASUS KT7 and Global Win FOP38

I remember that the fan draws a lot of power...I've heard that people have burned out the fan connectors when they connected the fan to the motherboard directly instead of using the 3 to 4 pin connector. Basically, did anyone have problems using the GW FOP38 with the KT7 ????
 
Assuming you mean ABit KT7, there's no problem. I asked the same question a week ago, and I was told KT7 was one of the few mobos with 6W fan headers. I think the FOP38 needs somewhere between 4 and 5W. Anyway, my fan header survived. But be prepared for some serious noise 🙂
 
Lol did I type asus...lol whoops...yeah I mean abit...cuz I wanna flash the new bios and it warned me that fan header one must be connected or the mobo will shut down the computer. Well while i am on it...any performence or major problems that came with the new bios???
