"All CPUs for Socket 754 only work with a single DDR400 memory interface, which adds up to a maximum memory transfer rate of 3 GB/s. A memory expansion of more than a gigabyte caused frequent problems."
"Socket 754 only has a memory interface. This causes problems when expanding memory by a considerable amount."
This sure sounds like it means that socket 754 does NOT like more than a gig of ram installed. I couldnt find anything on google that suggested this might be the case and ASUS claims the board can do up to 3 gigs so i'm not sure what tom is talking about. Is he not referring to actual RAM present in the system?
Anyone have any problems like this? Anyone put more than a gig of ram into a 754 system?
