i have bios version 1001 and asus says not to use thek8sedx file to use the afudos if you have less than version 1003. i downloaded afudos211 i run it and it just brings up a dos dialog and then closes it. it doesnt update my bios or do anything as far as i can tell. The reason i need to flash the bios is because i bought a 250gb hard drive and windows only recognizes 130gb of it. and suggestions please help.

to flash the bios, you need to load it onto a floppy, and boot from that floppy. asus should have detailed instructions on how to flash the bios on their support website.
