Asus k8v no video on boot

my friend is having trouble with his comp booting on his asus k8v board, he has recived a new powersupply tried different video cards, agp AND pci, and different monitors and has had no luck getting it to run, any suggestions

this is pretty urgent if you could help please

something to try - I just assembled a different board and Intel cpu - would boot but no video, tried different video cars, verified monitor worked. I removed and reseated the memory chips - voila! now I have video! worth a try.

Edit: Ignore my post, just noticed he had a k8v

Is his processor a 90nm? If so he may need to flash to the latest bios.

clear the CMOS, then after you save all your data, take out the board, smash it to bits, and buy a gigabyte, abit or some other board. i have one of these and it is PROBLEMS!!!
