Asus K8V deluxe doesn't detect sata HD

I tried plugging it into all the sata ports, i have the promise controller(2 sata ports) enabled, but windows never detects it. Also, I have SP2. I also dont see it in the bios, but it only lists 4 ide devices on the general screen, i don't know where satas are supposed to be listed.

Any advice? Thanks.

edit: sorry, forgot to say i did set the jumper to 150
 
if it's a SATA300 drive then you probably need to jumper it for SATA150 compatibility for the VIA 8237 to detect it.
