ASUS K8V and Corsair memory

I recently purchased a Corsair 512MB PC 3200 w/ ECC chip from newegg.com to augment the Corsair 512MB I already had in there. But they don't work together and my machine won't boot when both are in (slots 1,2;1,3 etc) and I've tried locking them both into specific timings as well. The serial on both reads CM72SD512RLP-3200 however my original one has chips made by Infineon and the newwgg one has them made by Samsung. I don't know if that makes a difference, however, cause they are both Corsair. Under the serial one has 3200/N (old) and the other 3200/S (new) I don't know exactly what that means either. They are both registered I believe, and work fine individually in my machine. Any advice would be useful. Thanks
