I just bought an Asus K8N, Athlon 64 3000+ Venice (retail) and 1gig PC3200 crucial.
After installing everything, the computer would start but no video. I later installed a stick of PNY 512meg pc3200, and then it worked. I'm not sure whether the crucial stick is bad or not, because I have no other system to test it in. I'm about to send it back to newegg, and I want to try different ram; possibly 2 512's instead of 1 gig.
I know this motherboard is picky about it's ram. What ram will definitely work for this? I can't find any literature on Asus.com.
Also, is it normal for the CPU to idle at 26C and the optical mouse to stay lit when the computer is turned off?
