Hi,

I find that when network traffic gets high (ie, with BitTorrent, etc) the onboard nVidia network adapter will randomly stop working and requires a reinitialize. I've ruled out firewall or service provider issues as the cause.

Searching various forums, it seems that many people are having this problem but nobody can offer a definitive solution. Does anyone know of a workaround, or if upcoming forceware drivers will have a fix?

Thanks.

is it only with bittorrent or when you're downloading from a site too?

once.. i did netstat while bittorrent was running.. it was something like 50 connections used by 1 bt gui. if the problem is related to having too many open connections, then you can limit the amount of incoming/outgoing connections.

can't remember what the file arguments were.. but you can run the btdownloadgui exe and it'll show a menu of what you need. once you got that go into your registry and do a search for the executable.. add the arguments to the key and you're set.

Thanks for the reply.

Well, BitTorrent definitely seems to be the catalyst, though after the adapter stops working and I reset, simple web browsing can trigger the adapter failure as well. I suppose I'll have to wait for nVidia to fix the issue or use another NIC.
