Asus K7V not fitting in Antec KS188!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I have a BIG problem..... I have my ATX Asus K7V and my ATX Antec KS188, however, when I place the mobo on the removable tray and screw the brass mounts in (no problems here... fits perfectly..) I notice that I can not fit any expansion cards (AGP or PCI) in their slots. The case or the mobo extends too far in either direction to allow a card to enter its slot because of the metal face plates on the cards themselves. I dont understand.. the ATX mobo fits in the ATX case using the bracket holes marked ATX fine.. yet.. i cant put any cards in... please advise....

not sure about your problems but I was thinking of getting this same montherboard to go in my KS188
anyone know the answer to this?

Hmmm, I'd have to say the other best Slot A board board is the ABIT KA7. If you want ATA100 support, get the ABIT KA7-100. If you have a lot of expansion cards, the 6 PCI slots will be better down the long run. Just personal preference, though. 🙂
