Does anyone know if the new AMD Thunderbird Slot A CPU will run in the Asus K7V MB?

I think I remember reading an article a few months ago that said the KX133 chipset wasn't going to be upwards compatible with the new AMD Thunderbird Slot A chip. If this is true, will all of the Slot A chips have to be run in boards with the Via chip set which DOESN'T support AGP 4x and PC133 RAM?

A news article at http://www.vr-zone.com/ says the K7V is one of those mobos that is compatible with the Tbird - not all KX133 mobos are, however.

P.S.
I believe both VIA chipsets for Athlons support both AGP 4X and PC133 SDRAM, as does their 133A for the P3.

You're absolutely right. Great web site too. Thanks for the info. I was able to wow the tech support people at the local distributor with all the info I gleaned from this site about this issue. The K7V is such an awesome board, I think I'll go pick it up today. Check out this review on the K7V... www.gotapex.com/reviews/k7v/index.htm
