ASUS K7M - How do I enable AGP 2X (and get it stable?)

I have the newest BIOS, and I haven't a clue how to set it to AGP 2X. I tried using GeTune, and it was useless (WCPUID and Sandra still report AGP 1X). Any other ideas?

Also, I heard this board had stability problems with AGP 2X; any tips on that too?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

I have a similar setup..Tbird,K7M,GF2MX..with the same problem. I did a searh on deja.com and tried many of the "solutions" with no success. However, If I let my system go in suspend mode (no activity for 10 minutes), then wake up again, it's in 2X! Try it out. Oh, and I had lots of stability problems until I deleted Win98 with DOS, then installed clean. Installing Win over Win does not always clean corrupted registry settings. Now rock stable.
