Asus K7M constant beeping

I have a constant beeping in Win 98 through my desktop speakers and the system speakers. Anyone know how to fix this problem or what might be causing it? The system has been running great for years. I never used the onboard sound and never hooked up the system speaker but now that I did I get a constant beeping sound, so its probably been going the whole time but now that I want to use the onboard sound it bothers me!!!!

Thanks

try going into the BIOS and disabling the alarms, i think it's like Monitoring or something. like where it monitors the voltages and fan speeds and stuff. mine kept beeping until i turned those off.

The K7M will beep if there isn't a cpu fan plugged into the motherboard.
I can't remember if there is a way to disable it, I just unplugged my speaker until I got a HSF that would plug into the motherboard.

I try ignoring every thing, still didn't work. I don't have a cpu fan connected, so I will try that!!!!

Figured it out!!!! Connected a case fan to the CPU fan header and it took care of the beeping!!!!! Thanks for all the help, I would have never figured that out by myself.
