Asus GTX 780 or eVGA GTX 780 Ti ?

Im a gamer and would like to know if it would make much difference getting the Ti series or go with Asus??

Ti is around 20% - 25% faster out of the box. 780 can typically be overclocked to close to 780ti speeds.

Go for the standard 780 and OC it. Once overclocked, the difference between 780 and 780 Ti OC narrows to about 15%. There are often deals for $450 on MSI Gaming or similar 780.

780Ti this late in the 28nm generation is a very overpriced card. In fact, you can now get almost 2 solid R9 290s (Sapphire Tri-X) for the price of most 780Ti. Comparing OC R9 290s vs. 780Ti OC is a not contest at all.

Also, there are rumors that 880 will beat 780Ti and cost less which could send the resale value of 780Ti down by $200 in just 6 months.

get a 780 non-ti or a titan black. my 780GTX (evga, reference board and cooler) does ~992mhz boost.

I have 2 GTX 780s. Very solid and cool running cards considering how cramped my system is.

Rumor has it that AMD is soon to launch Hawaii XTX. If so, this will hopefully put additional pricing pressure on NV to drop the prices on 770/780/780Ti.
