I know that a lot of people recommend the DCII. It's a very powerful 670, but there are issues with it.

Dear Valued Customer,

Please try the updated VBIOS from the Asus website: http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/N...2GD5/#download to see if you get more stability. If you still encounter issues please contact me at cl-jeremy@asus.com (ref#1043-1964). Thank you.

This is a manufacturer's response on Newegg addressing stability issues people are having with the card. If you follow the link to Asus' downloads for the card there's an updated bios that you need to flash yourself if you have stability issues. FWIU it reduces boost clocks. In this instance not only do you have the typical lottery with GPU boost variations, but the real possibility that you'll have to flash your card to lower levels of boost. Because of this I'd go with the MSI or the EVGA FTW if I were getting one myself. At least they will run the advertised clocks, and possibly more, without having to worry about bios flashing them. Keep in mind that nVidia doesn't have the 2nd bios as a fall back onto if you have a failed flashing attempt.

MSI 670 for sure. If you see newegg too many people are having issues with the Top. I tend to avoid any product that has less than 4 egg average on Newegg.

There are indeed reported issues with the ASUS DCII 670 TOP edition. I own one and it is amazing - it hits 1350 mhz clocks at around 68c. However, many people have had problems with stability, though the new BIOS seems to help. I have not had an issue, and I'm sure it's a vocal minority - but there's enough smoke to be fire. If I had a problem card I would have been squealing as well, so I can't blame people for doing so.

I'm not sure what the capacity of the MSI is, but it's a fantastic looking card. Not a bad choice by any means.

I don't think you'd go wrong with either card. However, like above posters, just be aware that there've been a plethora of complaints & issues with the ASUS card. If you don't get a lemon, I'm pretty sure you'd be pleased. Otherwise get the MSI. If I were doing it over, or decided to go SLI, I'd prob. pick up an MSI.
