Asus GTX 560 TI or 6950 2gb Toxic

wich card should i buy ? i rly don't know....they each have good performance, sometimes the 6950 is faster and other games 560 TI is faster.

the 560 TI is 210 EUR
the 6950 toxic is 280 EUR

don't wanna wait till 7000 series, early 2012
i could buy a 570 too but i read so many bad reviews about them dying and voltage prob.

LE : i have gtx 460 sonic platinum, don't know if i will feel difference in FPS from 460 to 560 ti

The Toxic is the better card, IMO. I don't think it's 70EUR better, though. If there's a 6950 2Gig that's closer to the same price as the 560ti (a lot closer, maybe ~25EUR) I'd go with that. If the 6950's are running 50EUR+ more than the 560ti where you're at though, I'd say they are overpriced.
 
yeah...i was thinking about price range between the two cards, it's a bit off 6950 toxic, however the Asus Gtx 560 TI was the cheapest of 500 series, other brands are 240 EUR +
i want a new GPU for BF3 and MW3, i don't like FrameChokes, i can't play FPS if my FramesChoke even a little. im fps addicted
If the 6950 toxic has better FPS on overall games i will buy the 6950 i don't mind paying the difference as long as i get FPS+
 
The 2gb frame buffer should solidify your choice if performance is your main concern between the two, definitely worth it in the more demanding titles at high res.

Heh, good luck with that ! Newegg cant seem to keep them in stock more than 30 minutes each week. I missed out again early this AM, so it might be 2 weeks before you can even order this card.
Sadly enough, I already bought one but it was DOA. 😡

Neither of those. GTX460 Sonic Platinum should overclock to 900-925mhz = HD5870. Save your $$$ for next generation cards.

A GTX560 Ti = GTX470.

GTX460 @ 900mhz > GTX470 Review

Honestly, you are just wasting $$. Get MSI afterburner and overclock.

Also, if you are buying for MW3 and BF3, wait until those games come out so we get a better idea of how demanding they are and which GPUs run faster on them.

Some benchmarks.

There's a marked improvement in a few games, but I would wait. It's really best to skip a generation for GPUs, unless you think you can get a good price for yours.

Why do you want to upgrade right now? BF3? Wait for benchmarks. Pointless to upgrade this late when you have a GPU that should be viable.
