Asus Gladius quick review

Got this mouse (Gladius I not II) for the replaceable switch feature so I no longer have to desolder or open up switches to fix them. It was review favourably by rocketjumpninja on youtube. I think stocks are running out and the ambi Pugio model (also with replaceable switches) will replace it along with the Gladius II.

Its a right handed mouse about the size of the deathadder/g402 but heavier at 116g and came with extra 2 Jap switches. The side buttons don't feel as crisp as the main buttons, or feel the same as the side buttons in G402/G302 so it could be non-omron switches but still feel decent. The main left/right switches are compatible with a broad range of D2F switches some of which have a little extra height I think which could not fit in some mice for modding.

The feet have a notch to make it easier to save the feet from being destroyed in order to access the screws. There is a click latency setting which is set at default to the lowest 8ms (could be 4ms according to this post). I think the mouse had originally low click latency but subsequent driver updates borked the click latency to 30+ms which I have no idea why it was done.

edit- the scroll wheel failed and when I opened it up, found it was using the cheaper wheel encoder instead of an optical sensor.

I haven't played any games with it yet. Was more interested to fix the failing switch issue.
From what I can tell in aimbooster, it feels alright. Still not as good with it because I'm still used to lighter weight mice.
