Asus GL551 keyboard backlighting problem

Hi all,

Having an issue with the backlighting of the keyboard. It randomly shuts off, anywhere from every 30 seconds to every few minutes. I have updated to the latest Bios, version 204, and the ATK package is also the current up to date one, it has been uninstalled and reinstalled as well, with no change. Any other ideas/suggestions/experiences?

My sense is that you have a loose wire/connection or cracked solder joint in your Asus laptop. All your changes tend to confirm that, IOW they have no effect. If it is still under warranty, it's a matter of sending it in for repair.
