I just ordered a Asus GeForce2 MX and I was wondering what driver to get and if there is any BIOS-settings I should change? My current setup is an Athlon 700@850, Epox K7XA, Voodoo3 running Win2000. How about the Voodoo3? Do I just put in the MX, delete the Voodoo3 driver and then install the Detonator-thingie?

the manual (on my leadtek gf2mx) says delete drivers, so do it.
also, no change in bios needed; some enable 4x AGP, but it doesnt really help right now and sometimes causes problems.
yea just remove the video adapter from the system configuration, or just go to "change adapter" in the display properties.........

A couple of things out might want to consider:
1. As said, enable AGP4X support from BIOS if it's not enabled already
2. Delete Voodoo3 driver just before installing the new card in - you'll minimize chanses of a crash and there won't be any reason to boot in safe mode if windows is using generic VGA driver.
3. Make sure latest VIA 4-in-1 drivers are installed. Voodoo3 doesn't really need an AGP miniport driver, but GeForce2 MX will crawl if it isn't loaded.
4. Get the AGP Win2K patch to fix a AGP aperture memory related OS issue on Athlon/Duron systems.

It doesn't help with compatibility, but it ensures you're getting the max performance out of the card right away. High-polygon situations utilizing T&L actually benefit from AGP4X.
